European Law Moot Court
This competition, a brainchild of University of Munich and the European University Institute, is organised by the European Law Moot Court Society and is about European Union law. Four regionals are held in various parts of Europe and the US, with 12 qualifying from each region. Rounds can be held in English or French, and the championship final is held at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. This moot is unique in that in most rounds, following submissions from the applicant and defendant, the floor is given to the Advocate General or Commission Agent. Due to travel restrictions brought about by COVID-19, the 2019/20 and 2020/21 editions were held online. This moot should not be confused with the European Human Rights Moot, which is organised by the European Law Students' Association.
