European Human Rights Moot
This competition, now known as the Helga Pedersen Moot, is organised by the European Law Students' Association and Council of Europe. It is based on the Euoprean Convention on Human Rights, and the championship final is held at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, with winners being awarded a traineeship at the court. Regionals are held in various parts of Europe. Due to travel restrictions brought about by COVID-19, the 2019/20 and 2020/21 editions were held online. This moot should not be confused with the European Law Moot Competition, which is organised by the European Law Moot Court Society and is about European Union law. It should also not be confused with the Rene Cassin competition, which is also based on the European Convention on Human Rights but is run in French.
